A well-kept and organized garden is the ideal place to spend moments of peace, taking a quiet break from daily activities. In fact, having a green space, makes the time spent at home, at work or when we are guests of a hotel, more enjoyable.
The first step to create a garden that meets our expectations, is to realize a project taking into account some fundamental aspects.
1) The characteristics of the landscape
One of the most effective ways to create a truly welcoming garden is to choose plants in harmony with local species.
For example, if the Mediterranean vegetation abounds in the area, especially in a medium or large garden, it is advisable to insert some aromatic plants.
In addition to being robust and easily cultivable species, they will make our green space a unique and exclusive environment, rich in colors and scents.
Or, if the garden is located very close to the coast, it is necessary to use plants resistant to the sea wind and suitable for sandy and salty soils, such as some species of palms, the oleander, or the Pittosphorus.
If our goal is to create a particularly suggestive atmosphere in a small space, we can create a break with the surrounding landscape, creating a tropical garden.
In this case, wild-looking plants such as ferns, showy foliage, or very colourful flowers such as hibiscus are very suitable.
The choice of plants and flowers that will beautify the garden depends above all on our personal taste.
In any case, it is always necessary to consider the climatic conditions of the area, preferring plants that adapt better to the temperature, humidity and sun exposure of the place.
2) The features of space
Making an accurate project before inserting plants, accessories and furnishings, or building walls or streets, is the secret to bring out the potential of the garden that we have in mind.
In fact, if we want to highlight its strengths and minimize the impact of any defects, it is necessary to carefully evaluate the appearance of the spaces available.
One of the most important measures is to respect the proportion between the elements inserted and the size of the green area, avoiding plants or furnishing accessories too large or too small.
In addition, the various plant species should be in the best possible harmony with each other, with any accessories, and with the style of the structure.
Finally, we must give the right emphasis to the geometries of the area. Making fences, paths or the simple edges of the flowerbeds, is the easiest way to give an orderly and organized look to all the green space.
3) The end use
The main function of our project is to find the most appropriate solutions so that the garden perfectly meets the needs for which it is realized.
For this reason, we cannot leave anything to chance: every aspect of the elements that will be inserted must comply with the use we have planned.
For example, the areas that we will frequent most often, alone or in company, can be furnished with tables and outdoor chairs.
In this case, we will choose products that combine comfort and aesthetic taste, but above all resistant to the weather, and that require little maintenance.
In addition, special attention must be paid to the lighting of living and green spaces, once again combining functionality and style.
A definitely effective solution, is to enhance the atmosphere through light and shade effects, using lighting furnishing accessories.
In addition to tables, armchairs and chairs, we can decorate our outdoor space with vases and plastic sculptures, which are also excellent dividers for large spaces.
